Alejandro is the founder of Wave. He started the art of surf instruction and lifeguarding work in 2001 at Playa Dominical. As one of few experienced Surf Instructors and all around surf and adventures knowledge in Costa Rica, Alejandro focuses on Safety, Attention to Detail, Nature Enjoyment, Customer Service and one of the most relaxed and advanced techniques of teaching surfing skills.
Alejandro practiced surfing competition in the early 2000's around Costa Rica and has surfed in many countries. He also worked as surf instructor in California at Del Mar and Santa Cruz.

Alejandro is Currently a member of the Costa Ballena Lifeguard Association supporting a hard working team that supports a Privately Funded Program that is much needed in the area.

Surfing is not just about riding waves. Surfing is a healthy lifestyle that allow us to stay in form phisically and mentally. Through a learning experience of how the ocean behaves in many instances we can all assess the beauty, joy and risks of Surfing. Without proper understanding of the Ocean learning how to surf could be daring and challenging.

Our goal is that no fear or doubt will be present when learning how to surf because once you understand the Ocean behavior and your limits the Art of Surfing will be more enjoyable and it will last as one of the top memories during all your life.
