BEGINNER SURF LESSON
$75 per person
Your first connection with the ocean.
Our beginner experience is designed for guests who are new to surfing or have little previous experience.
We begin by helping you understand the ocean, your equipment, and the fundamentals of surfing before getting into the water.
Once we’re in the ocean, instruction is personalized to your ability, comfort, and confidence.
We’ll work on:
- Ocean awareness & safety
- Surfboard handling
- Paddling
- Positioning
- Balance
- Catching waves
- Standing up
- Building confidence in the water
Approximately 2 hours
But 2 hours is not a stopwatch.
Your lesson duration naturally depends on your physical and mental energy, ocean conditions, and how much you’re enjoying yourself.
If you’re having an incredible time and want to keep going, I don’t believe in ending the experience simply because the clock says two hours.

INTERMEDIATE PRIVATE SURF LESSON
$85 per person
Refine your surfing. Understand the ocean. Go further.
For surfers who already have experience and want to improve their skills, our intermediate sessions focus on the details that can make a significant difference in your surfing.
Depending on your ability and goals, we may work on:
- Wave selection
- Ocean positioning
- Timing
- Paddling technique
- Takeoff technique
- Directional control
- Turning
- Speed generation
- Reading changing conditions
- Surfing with greater confidence and awareness

As with every WAVE experience, this is a guideline—not a rigid time limit.
We pay attention to you, not the clock.

You won’t find us putting large groups into the water simply to increase the number of lessons we can sell.
We intentionally limit each instructor to a maximum of two guests.
